Job summary
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking qualified Engineering Technologists to collaborate with engineers, scientists and technicians on challenging mechanical and thermal projects. You will translate customer needs into practical solutions, from initial concept through fabrication, testing and documentation, contributing to national security missions.
Positions are available at Engineering Technologist 2 and 3 levels, with responsibilities expanding at the higher level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, Science, Math or related field and 5 years of directly related experience; or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Science, Math or related field with 8 years of directly related experience; or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer needs into engineering solutions from concept through fabrication, testing and documentation.
- Develop engineering documents such as test plans, assembly procedures and reports.
- Lead small project teams and provide technical leadership with minimal supervision.
