Job summary

Global Engineering & Technology, Inc. (GET) is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The role focuses on Creo 3D CAD design, GD&T, MBD, and tolerance analyses to ensure producible, robust concepts for a major weapon-system program.

The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen, able to obtain DOE Q clearance, and hold a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years directly related mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Creo CAD, GD&T, MBD, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience checking models/drawings for form, fit, function and MBD.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead design reviews across teams.

Responsibilities

• Check design definitions for new weapon system program.
• Guide teams through design iterations to address defects.
• Deliver expert results with minimal direction and ensure producibility.
• Mentor junior staff on MBD and GD&T practices.
• Contribute to weapon-system configuration management workflows.
