Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Project Manager in Reno, NV. You will manage mechanical design projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and scope are met, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including project developers, PMs, architects, engineers, and consultants.

You will oversee Designer of Record and consultant performance, lead design reviews, review contracts and plans, and support development of design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing design projects.
• Strong project management, research, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical design projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and scope are met.
• Coordinate with Project Development Teams, Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and consultants.
• Manage and oversee Designer of Record (DOR) and consultant performance.
• Lead design reviews and resolve design issues, ensuring compliance with project requirements and codes.
• Review contracts, scopes, specifications, plans, and design deliverables.
• Support development of design, construction, sustainability, and commissioning standards.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and milestones and drive timely decision-making.
• Support cost-effective facility design and successful project delivery.
