This position will lead this company’s mechanical and plumbing engineering design development practices in all regions of work performed by this construction company in adherence to the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army surveying, planning and RFP design standards. The role involves new building construction, updates, and renovations—primarily in offices, housing, and training areas—without maintenance work. Responsibilities include job cost tracking and performance monitoring throughout project duration, coordinating with project teams to facilitate design information flow and scheduling, and working with the team on submittals, cost management, quality control, and approval processes. The engineer will lead consultations with stakeholders regarding project proposals, schedules, strategies, submittal procedures, building system design, and safety to ensure quality conceptual design and construction methods that meet RFP, proposal, and corporate objectives. They will develop strategic approaches to projects, determine construction requirements, plan procedures, ensure safety features, educate the team, and ensure training with project requirements. Reviewing, adjusting, and applying UFGS, UFC, IMC, International Plumbing Code, ASHRE 90.1, and LEED standards for application in mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing engineering designs forms part of the role.
