Job description
Lead Mechanical department and provide technical design support.
Assist in the preparation of schematic designs, construction documents and specifications in compliance with owner’s requirements and ensure governmental code compliance.
Execute mechanical design from conceptual design through construction documents.
Develop mechanical system layouts and identify equipment sizing/selection.
Perform plumbing schematic design of air systems, fans, ducting, etc.
Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates.
Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, conduct field / site surveys and observations.
Collaborate and coordinate design with engineers, architects, designers, owners, product manufacturers, vendors and building contractors as required.
Responsible for insuring accuracy and content of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods and processes.
Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
Attend coordination meetings and conduct site visits as required.
