Job description

• Lead Mechanical department and provide technical design support.
• Assist in the preparation of schematic designs, construction documents and specifications in compliance with owner’s requirements and ensure governmental code compliance.
• Execute mechanical design from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Develop mechanical system layouts and identify equipment sizing/selection.
• Perform plumbing schematic design of air systems, fans, ducting, etc.
• Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates.
• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, conduct field / site surveys and observations.
• Collaborate and coordinate design with engineers, architects, designers, owners, product manufacturers, vendors and building contractors as required.
• Responsible for insuring accuracy and content of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods and processes.
• Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
• Attend coordination meetings and conduct site visits as required.
