Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead design leadership for new and existing construction builds, with a focus on data centre development. You will work with our team and partner with clients, providing strong mechanical and electrical systems expertise.

The Design Project Manager will guide projects through design and construction phases, coordinating with owners, consultants and contractors while driving energy efficiency and cost-conscious solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project management in the construction industry.
• Experience managing client accounts effectively and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of local construction market.
• Experience managing teams of project managers and supporting staff.

Aufgaben

• Provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director. Frequent interaction with Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors.
• Directly assist the Project Manager(s) in managing, coordinating, and administering the project through all phases of design and construction, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensures client services are delivered at the highest level, including technical guidance on maintainable electrical and mechanical systems.
• Aids in preparation of documents for programming, design, and construction, and maintains information in project management software.
• Coordinate to schedule meetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s).
• Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation, including design standards and equipment specifications.
• Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Review and inform design RFPs, including scope development for mechanical engineering services.
• Manage external design consultants through design and construction, ensuring timely, budget-aligned documents.
• Communicate design standards to internal and external partners; manage multiple fast-paced projects.
