Siemens is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering intern to support the Electrification and Automation team in Raleigh, NC, for a 12-week program beginning May or June 2027. You will model designs (NX CAD, AutoCAD Electrical) and contribute to prototype parts, tooling, and documentation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, design iteration, and hands-on prototyping with guidance from senior engineers, while aligning with production and lab support tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Prior internship with Siemens EA division preferred.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks.
• Must live within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC; no housing/relocation provided.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States on a continual basis.
• Enrolled in a bachelor’s program and continuing studies during the assignment.

Mansioni

• Model designs in 3D (NX CAD) and 2D AutoCAD Electrical to support projects.
• Participate in team improvement projects documenting processes and work instructions.
• Design new prototype parts with mentorship from senior engineers and update existing parts.
• Support prototype builds and prepare JT files under supervision.
• Provide production and lab support for assembly activities.
