Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Engineer to review drawings, perform code calculations, and assist with BOM and procurement duties within the Heat Transfer and Energy Solutions Group. You will partner with the Project Engineering Manager and stakeholders to deliver world-class products for customers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience, and proficiency in reading drawings and codes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience required.
• Experience with welded design.
• ASME BPVC (Boiler Pressure Vessel Code) calculation experience required.
• Experience with Mechanical Drawings interpretations and performing calculations to required codes.
• FEA and CFD experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical manuals and diagrams and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with BOM and Procurements preferred.
• Heat Exchanger or similar Mechanical Plant Equipment experience preferred.
• Experience with Equipment Startups and installs in manufacturing settings a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% each year.

Responsibilities

• General Engineering Activities including Reviewing Mechanical Drawings, updating Job information, etc.
• Required to be highly organized and exhibit technical proficiency.
• Exhibit safe work habits adhering to all PPE and OSHA during times in the manufacturing area.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by Management.
