Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design tanks and enclosures and collaborate with a fast-paced team to ensure on-time releases to production.

You will perform layout and detail design tasks, address issues, and drive continuous improvements from concept through implementation, working closely with planning, quality, and manufacturing staff.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks proficiency with a test during selection.
• Experience with sheet-metal and weldment design is desired.
• Familiarity with ERP/PDM systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design layout and detail work for quotations, orders, and manufacturing projects.
• Address design issues, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with planning, quality, purchasing, assembly, and design staff.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure efficient production methods.
• Support manufacturing or shop floor with problem resolution and cost improvements.
