Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our fast-paced team, focusing on layout and detail design of tanks and enclosures for production release. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver quality, on-time drawings and optimized manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate has SolidWorks expertise, experience with ERP and PDM, and a background in sheet-metal and weldment design.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks expertise; candidate must pass a SolidWorks test.
• Experience with ERP systems and PDM preferred.
• Sheet-metal and weldment design experience desired.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and work cross-functional.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and detail design for quotes, orders, and production projects.
• Develop corrective actions and implement solutions to issues.
• Be self-directed while working in a team; own assigned tasks.
• Ensure designs meet shop practices and production capabilities.
• Support manufacturing with improvements and new product development.
