Global Power Components is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Milwaukee, WI team. This role focuses on layout and detail design for tanks and enclosures, driving on-time releases to production in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should demonstrate SolidWorks expertise, ERP familiarity, and experience with sheet-metal and weldment design, with strong communication and multitasking abilities to balance multiple projects and priorities.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks proficiency required; candidate will take a SolidWorks test during selection.
• ERP knowledge is beneficial for design integration and change management.
• Experience with sheet-metal and weldment design is desired.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout and detail design for quotations, orders, and manufacturing projects.
• Navigate issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions.
• Work well in a self-directed yet collaborative team environment.
• Own the tasks and projects assigned to you to ensure on-time, quality releases.
• Ensure designs reflect standard shop practices and fabrication capabilities.
