Job summary

NPSG Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II/III to create detailed designs and specs for mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks CAD. You will work closely with manufacturing to develop production-ready drawings and improve products in a fast-moving environment that values safety and quality.

Responsibilities include leading design projects, integrating COTS components, meeting deadlines and budgets, supervising drafters, and maintaining 7S in the department, all

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering; CAD expertise required.
• SolidWorks/PDM experience for fabrication design.
• Experience with sheet metal and weldments is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and align project requirements with customers and team.
• Lead design of electromechanical assemblies for rapid prototyping and production.
• Specify and integrate COTS components into semi-automated products.
• Meet deadlines, budgets and quality targets; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Create SolidWorks assemblies, models, drawings; perform peer reviews.
• Support production and deployment of new product introductions.
• Supervise Engineering Drafters and oversee phase-gate processes.
• Ensure 7S and workplace organization in the department.
• Maintain safety and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
