Job summary

NPSG Global in Sparks, NV is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II/III to create detailed designs for mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks. You will work with manufacturing to translate concepts into production-ready drawings and specifications, leading projects through phase gates while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires strong problem-solving, blueprint reading, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering.
• Broad knowledge of materials and fabrication processes.
• Experience with structural simulation and analysis.
• ASME Y14.5M-2009 knowledge preferred.
• Experience in metal manufacturing shop preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mechanical assemblies and systems using SolidWorks.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to define project requirements and schedules.
• Create and review drawings and models in SolidWorks/PDM.
• Oversee the phase-gate process for assigned projects.
• Train less skilled engineers and ensure 7S in the department.
• Support production and deployment of new product introductions.
