Tidas Automation is seeking its first full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to shape design standards and deliver high-quality robotic and conveyor-based automation systems in Louisville, KY. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years designing automation equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Inventor or SolidWorks) and 2D AutoCAD required.
• Experience with Fanuc RoboGuide or similar robotic simulation software preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, kinematics, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer and team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical automation solutions including robotic systems, conveyors, packaging equipment, and custom machinery.
• Collaborate with sales and applications engineering teams to create innovative concepts for proposals.
• Produce detailed CAD models (3D and 2D), fabrication drawings, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee fabrication and assembly phases, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with objectives.
• Lead customer-facing meetings, providing technical updates, issue tracking, and recommendations.
• Maintain design and project records, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports with photos.
• Support integration of robotics (Fanuc preferred), conveyors, and auxiliary equipment into client systems.
• Partner with suppliers and fabricators to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
