Job summary
Solenis is seeking a Mechanical & Design Engineer to provide mechanical engineering and design support for capital projects and chemical manufacturing operations worldwide. The role emphasizes detailed analysis, equipment specification, design, and technical documentation to enable safe and reliable project execution.
You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and plant personnel to develop practical engineering solutions for chemical plants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years in specialty chemicals.
- Minimum of 7 years in mechanical design engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years developing equipment specifications.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, ASME, API standards.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed mechanical engineering analysis, calculations, design, and sketches for CapEx projects and plant support.
- Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Review and approve key drawings and calculations including field documents and installation details.
- Develop equipment specifications for mechanical systems and equipment.
- Provide technical direction to Designers, Drafters, Engineers, and plant personnel.
- Lead or support development of mechanical design packages from concept to construction.
- Support project teams during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup.
