Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to join our nuclear-focused team across Lenexa, KS, Houston, TX, Knoxville, TN, and Itasca, IL. We pursue safe, cost-effective, and innovative designs supporting construction-driven engineering with a strong safety culture.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7–12+ years of nuclear design experience; FE/EIT recommended, PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 7–12+ years in commercial or DOE nuclear design; FE/EIT recommended; PE preferred.
• Proficient in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and piping codes; GD&T and tolerances.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment package drawings; strong collaboration.
• Attention to detail, communication, organization and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Carry out integrated engineering processes to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Author and review designs, specifications, analyses and drawings per standards.
• Create and assess concept drawings for equipment using multidisciplinary input.
• Identify, define and resolve issues within assigned scope.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and timely project delivery.
• Occasional travel required (less than 20%).
