Job summary

GTI Fabrication in Tempe, AZ seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems for modular infrastructure projects. You will create manufacturable designs, drawings, layouts, and production documentation while collaborating with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities include mechanical design, drawings, BOMs, tolerance analysis, and support for testing, prototyping, and manufacturing improvements. Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design structural frames, enclosures, weldments, sheet metal assemblies, and equipment layouts.
• Develop designs for fit, function, serviceability, and transport.
• Support integration of cooling equipment, piping, and electrical systems.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
• Perform sizing, tolerance analysis, and basic calculations.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing to improve quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve fit-up and tolerance issues.
• Assist with engineering changes and continuous improvement.
