Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own end-to-end product design from concept to production in Scottsdale, AZ. You will collaborate with product managers, electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, high-quality hardware.

The role emphasizes thermal management, design for high-volume manufacturing, and maintaining the artistic intent of product design while meeting reliability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of product design experience in high-end consumer electronics.
• Experience with Creo or similar 3D CAD software.
• Design for plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast and machined parts.
• Experience with thermo-mechanical design and thermal management.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuits and electro-mechanical integration.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovative product development from conceptualization to manufacturing.
• Lead ideation of subsystem and system level designs.
• Construct and analyze high fidelity prototypes.
• Perform detailed mechanical analyses including FEA and tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop engineering deliverables aligned with product requirements.
