Job summary

Siemens AG is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern for a 12-week program starting May/June 2027 in Raleigh, NC. You will model designs in 3D NX CAD and 2D AutoCAD Electrical, support process documentation, design prototype parts, and assist with prototype builds under senior guidance.

The internship targets students in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with prior Siemens EA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/related field
• Prior internship in Siemens EA division preferred
• Commitment to full-time 40 hours/week for 12 weeks
• Must be located within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC (no housing/relocation)
• Legally eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s program continuing after the assignment

Responsibilities

• Model designs in 3D (NX CAD) and 2D (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Support team with process documentation and work instructions
• Design new prototype parts and update existing parts
• Assist with prototype builds under senior supervision
• Provide production and lab support for product assembly
