Daimler Truck North America in Portland, OR, is seeking a Product Engineer II to join the Vehicle Dynamics team. You will develop isolation systems and components for heavy‑duty vehicles, collaborating across validation, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 6 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills (root cause analysis/8D).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and team collaboration.
• Demonstrated CAD expertise (NX or similar).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cab mount systems to achieve ride, handling, NVH, and durability.
• Develop system-level requirements, component specs, and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Review technical data, drawings, and specs for compliance.
• Use CAD to create and maintain 3D part designs and drawings.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation through the product life cycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focusing on quality and cost.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently and on time.
