Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking an Electric (High Voltage) Product Design Engineer II to develop software for the eDrive system, HV components, and ECUs. You will collaborate with feature and component owners to ensure cohesive software and network communication across the powertrain.

The role emphasizes control strategy development, system validation, and continuous improvement in electrified powertrains. Location: Gaffney, SC on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Model-based software development experience in automotive/heavy-duty.
• Experience creating control system requirements and test plans.
• Experience with diagnostic strategies for control systems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional international teams.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, validate and release software for high voltage supervisory control system.
• Support HV Powernet & Charging system development with other powertrain owners.
• Coordinate with global partners for HV systems & charging systems.
• Lead issue resolution on powertrain ECUs during validation.
• Stay current on electric vehicle technology developments.
