Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC is seeking a Computational Simulation Engineer III - Handling in Portland, OR. The role combines multi-body dynamics with finite element analysis to model vehicle handling, braking and stability.

You will mentor juniors and coordinate across design, test, and simulation teams while traveling up to 10% annually. The position is hybrid with in-office and remote work, within commuting distance of Portland.

Qualifications

• Must have multibody simulation experience (SIMPACK/ADAMS) and FE modelling (NASTRAN).
• Proficient in time series and frequency-domain analysis with practical results.
• Strong technical communication, PowerPoint slides, and CAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for complete vehicle model building combining MBD and FE models.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, test and simulation teams to meet targets.
• Present results and provide analysis-based recommendations to management.
