Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC) for commercial and industrial projects in Atlanta, onsite. The role focuses on HVAC, piping, and plumbing system design with load calculations and energy simulations.

You will lead design efforts, coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and guide engineers and Revit designers while ensuring code compliance and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with an active Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead mechanical design and engineering for commercial and industrial existing-building and new-construction projects.
• The role will focus on HVAC, piping, and plumbing system design, including load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and system development.
• The engineer will work directly with clients, architects, developers, general contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop project scope and deliver value-driven design solutions.
• The position will provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers and Revit designers while coordinating design requirements across disciplines.
• Strong experience with Trane TRACE 700/TRACE 3D Plus, design-build projects, applicable codes, specifications, and sequences of operation is required.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have Active Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead mechanical design
• Experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing system design, including load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and system development
