Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Professional Engineer (HVAC/Mechanical Design) for a fulltime, hybrid role in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

You will lead design of commercial/industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, interface with clients, and guide the project from scope through commissioning. Experience includes load calculations, energy simulations, and equipment selection, with a focus on compliant, value-driven designs and growth of turnkey design/build offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• Minimum of 7 years in design and development of mechanical and plumbing layouts, or project management for these systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Interface with clients, negotiate project scope, perform due diligence, and prepare feasibility studies.
• Lead the design process with building leaders to grow turnkey design/build offers.
• Develop, negotiate, and maintain engineering scope for projects in coordination with Operations.
• Perform load calculations, energy simulations, and equipment selections.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and regulations.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with architects and other engineers.
• Review specifications and sequences of operation.
• Manage relationships with owners, general contractors, and internal teams.
