Job summary

Boxabl, Inc. in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and refine mechanical components from concept through production, ensuring manufacturability, cost, and quality.

The role requires strong SolidWorks proficiency and hands-on manufacturing floor experience. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs, work with production and procurement on DFMA reviews, support NPI, create BOMs and ECOs, perform tolerance analysis and basic FEA, and

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years designing consumer-grade mechanical products.
• Strong SolidWorks skills with understanding of GD&T and DFM/DFA principles.

Responsibilities

• Design components and assemblies using SolidWorks with production-ready drawings and GD&T.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to improve DFMA and guide assembly instructions.
• Support NPI and coordinate between engineering and production to address fit, tolerance, and process issues.
• Create and maintain BOMs, ECOs, and technical documentation.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and basic engineering calculations/FEA to validate designs.
• Work with R&D to develop and test prototypes and assist in first-article inspection.
