Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Grayling, MI is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer to join our engineering team. You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and customers during concept and design development, creating functional tool designs that meet customer needs.

You will produce 3D models and 2D layouts, maintain standard drawings, and support cost-effective design practices while meeting project deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks through coursework or work.
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering drawing practices.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, or machine design concepts.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to define technical problems, gather information, analyze data, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with organizational and time-management skills.
• Desire to learn and grow within a design engineering role.
