Job summary

Antares seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design enclosures, racks, mounting hardware, and cable management for reactor electronic systems. You will create 3D CAD models, BOMs, and engineering documentation to support production, manage data in a PDM/PLM system, and collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust hardware.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, strong engineering calculations, and experience releasing hardware for production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years designing mechanical hardware for electronic systems.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and BOMs for production hardware.
• Ability to size and validate mechanical components and support structures.
• Familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing processes for fabricated and machined components.
• Experience using PDM/PLM to manage engineering data and revisions.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and communicating technical info clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical hardware for reactor electronic systems, including enclosures, equipment racks, mounting hardware, cable management, and structural support assemblies.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation to support fabrication and product release.
• Perform engineering calculations to validate structural, thermal, and environmental performance of mechanical hardware.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and test engineers to define mechanical interfaces and packaging layouts.
• Support prototype fabrication, testing, design verification, supplier engagement, and field issue resolution.
• Maintain engineering configuration within the PDM/PLM system and participate in design reviews.
