Job summary

Antares is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical hardware development for reactor electronic systems. You will design enclosures, racks, and mounting hardware, create 3D CAD models, and manage BOMs and engineering data within a PDM system.

Collaboration with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams is essential to validate performance and enable production. You will perform structural and thermal analyses, support prototyping and testing, and contribute to design

Qualifications

• Design and release mechanical hardware for electronic systems in production environments.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for fabrication.
• Perform structural and thermal calculations to validate components and assemblies.
• Collaborate across electrical, controls, manufacturing, and test teams.

Responsibilities

• Design enclosures, racks, mounting hardware, and cable-management for reactor electronics.
• Create BOMs and engineering documentation to support product release.
• Maintain CAD models, BOMs, and PLM data; participate in design reviews.
• Support prototype fabrication, testing, and addressing manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate on packaging layouts, interfaces, and installation requirements.
• Maintain configuration in PDM/PLM throughout product lifecycle.
