Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants Limited (PEC) in the Kansas City area seeks a knowledgeable Design Engineer to design on multiple projects and to collaborate with other disciplines—internal and external—to develop engineering solutions for PEC’s clients. This role relies on BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based analyses to deliver precise design deliverables.

The engineer will perform design and coordination for construction documents, participate in construction

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program.
Experience with building design and code compliance.
Experience with BIM/CAD design workflows.

Responsibilities

Performs engineering design and coordinates with design staff for construction document and specification production in compliance with building codes.
Performs construction administration tasks including submittal reviews, site investigations, and RFI responses.
Performs design and takeoff computations by hand and using software.
Organizes multiple projects and tasks to meet PEC standards and schedules.
Organizes project information and files according to PEC practices.
Effectively communicates with the Design Team to complete design tasks on many projects.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at PEC discretion.
