Job summary

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) seeks a Design Engineer to design on multiple projects, coordinating with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC’s Clients. This position will utilize BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations.

The role involves design and takeoff computations, organizing project information, and effective communication with the Design Team to complete tasks on schedule and per PEC

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited program is required.
Experience with BIM/CAD software and engineering design processes.
Ability to interpret codes, plans, and design components for electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Performs engineering design and prepares design deliverables per codes and standards.
Coordinates with design staff for construction document and specification production.
Supports construction administration including submittal reviews and RFIs.
Performs design calculations by hand and with software.
Organizes multiple projects and communicates with the Design Team to meet schedules.
