The role requires hands-on problem-solving, strong mechanical design skills, and experience with electromechanical systems, GD&T, and 3D CAD (SolidWorks).

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of product design experience in electromechanical/building products or related industries.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; SolidWorks strongly preferred.
• Experience creating detailed drawings, assemblies, and multi-level BOMs.
• Hands-on lab or prototype shop experience.
• Familiarity with aluminum, steel, and glass design applications.
• Experience with tolerance stack-ups and GD&T.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop automatic door products and enhancements balancing performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, sourcing, and field service to translate requirements into solutions.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
• Build, test, and evaluate prototypes; develop tests and implement design improvements.
• Apply engineering principles for material selection, tolerances, and electromechanical integration.
• Support DFMA, ECOs, pilot builds, and production launches.
