ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our New Product Development team. You will lead the design and development of new products from concept through production, collaborating with product management, production, quality, supply chain, sales, and marketing to ensure performance, cost, and manufacturability.

You will develop detailed specifications, 3D models, and drawings using SolidWorks, perform simulations and testing, and drive the product through to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in product development or engineering, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks; DriveWorks experience a plus.
• Experience with FEA, DFM/DFMEA; electromechanical products and PLC/HMI familiarity.
• Familiarity with electrical schematic design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent.
