Job summary

TruNorth Automation in Minnesota is seeking a self-driven engineer to translate concepts into a robust automation design using CAD, evolving it from concept to a manufacture-ready component. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with minimum GPA 3.0.
• Practical internship/coop experience in mechanical design.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD is preferred.
• Experience with mechanics, mechanical design, automation and/or robotics a plus.
• Willing to travel up to 5% (air or car).
• US citizen or authorization to work permanently in the United States.

TruNorth Automation is looking to increase growth in its engineering department. Ideal candidate is self-driven and energetic with a learner mindset. You will be using CAD to develop a design from a conceptual state into a manufacture-ready, sophisticated piece of automation equipment. Then following that design through the build phase, all the way to customer acceptance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with minimum GPA of 3.0
• Practical experience within an internship, co-op, or team related to mechanical design

• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD system is preferred
