Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a leading OEM client focused on advanced air vehicle and strike platform development. This role will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical engineering generalist who operates across the full development lifecycle—from concept to flight test—delivering high-performance systems for complex environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• CAD and drafting proficiency.
• Proficient with NX.
• Experience with Simcenter; Ansys is beneficial.
• Experience applying GD&T and good drawing practices.
• Hands-on design of secondary structures and components.
• Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into advanced air vehicles.
• Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD).
• Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, lamination).
• Strong engineering first principles understanding.
• BS or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering.
• Eligible for active U.S. Secret security clearance; fast-paced environment experience.

This engineer will support the Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and integration of advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on mechanical engineering generalist who can operate across the full development lifecycle—from early concept and detailed design through integration and flight test—delivering high‑performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems for complex, contested environments.
