Job summary

Insight Global in Southern California is seeking an experienced mechanical/aerospace engineer to design engine components—combustion chambers, turbomachinery, and layouts—for an advanced propulsion system. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong foundation in heat transfer, fluids and structural mechanics.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis using ANSYS Workbench or similar packages.
• Mastery of mechanical design principles.
• Strong understanding of design for manufacturing and GD&T principles.
• Experience developing and maintaining engineering design best practices.
• Experience from concept to production of parts/assemblies/systems; high GD&T proficiency.
• Proficiency with ANSYS Workbench.
• Proficiency with StarCCM+ or similar CFD tools.
• Experience with design of additively manufactured rocket engine components.
• Experience in propulsion systems design, analysis, test, operations, and/or manufacturing.
• Experience with best practices for aerospace hardware design, qualification, and production.
• Experience in fast-paced development programs.
