Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a leading OEM client focused on advanced air vehicle and strike platform development. This hands-on role covers the full development lifecycle—from concept and detailed design through integration and flight test.

The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineering generalist with 5+ years experience, proficient in CAD (NX preferred) and GD&T, and able to work across electrical and mechanical subsystems for high-performance air vehicles.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in mechanical engineering for air vehicle programs.
• Proficiency in CAD and drafting; NX/Teamcenter experience required.
• Experience integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems for advanced air vehicles; GD&T mastery.

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a leading OEM client focused on advanced air vehicle and strike platform development. This engineer will support the Air Dominance and Strike Mechanical Engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and integration of advanced hardware for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on mechanical engineering generalist who can operate across the full development lifecycle—from early concept and detailed design through integration and flight test—delivering high‑performance, resilient, and scalable mechanical systems for complex, contested environments.

Skills and Requirements

• Mechanical engineering experience with Advanced Air Vehicles Programs

• Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD).


• Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, composite lamination, etc)


• High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles


• BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering


• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance Previous experience in a fast paced environment
