Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Co-op in Wendell, NC, partnering with NC State University. You will support mechanical design and 3D modeling, perform drawing updates, and collaborate with engineering and production teams on prototypes and tooling.

The role runs as a full-time Summer/Fall 2027 co-op for students enrolled in a BS program, within 50 miles of Wendell. U.S. work authorization is required; housing is not provided, and Siemens offers 401K eligibility for interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Must be enrolled in the NC State University co-op program.
• On-site full-time availability during Summer/Fall 2027 (40 hours/week).
• Within 50 miles of Wendell, NC; housing/relocation not provided.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and 3D modeling projects with drawings and revisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement design improvements.
• Assist with tools/fixtures for production and assembly processes.
• Create/update engineering drawings and documentation for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production on prototype builds.
