Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Phoenix, Arizona, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to conduct analyses and assist in project design and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong computer skills, and a commitment to an employee-owned culture. Experience with sustainable design and an EIT certificate are preferred. This position is full-time, and the company fosters a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Master’s degree in architectural engineering preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects
  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in architectural engineering with Mechanical emphasis
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experience
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
  • Strong commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture
