Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Mechanical) to support project management on commercial construction projects in the eastern United States. The position requires coordinating with the Project Manager, field teams, and estimators to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and safe operations.

Responsibilities include document control, scheduling, and facilitating communications with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Work authorization in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• 3–5 years of related experience in construction.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and documentation.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in driving project’s overall flow effectively from inception to completion.
• Assist with project document control, including insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, etc.
• Review contract and bid documents from estimating; attend walk-throughs.
• Ensure documents are centrally saved in the project’s document control software.
• Support project schedule and billing; assist with monthly billings and collections.
