Job summary

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Newark, DE is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager for our Mechanical Construction Division. You will support the Project Manager, track project progress, and help manage budgets, timelines, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with related experience in construction.
• 1–3 years direct project experience in construction.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and PM software.
• Familiarity with financial accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
• Act as liaison between general contractor, general manager, and superintendents.
• Generate reports tracking project progress and profitability metrics.
• Process change orders and bill for work performed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate material ordering and delivery to meet timelines.
