Black & Veatch seeks a Mechanical Buildings Engineer – HVAC/Plumbing – Advanced Power Generation to support HVAC and plumbing design for conventional power facilities worldwide. The role teams with multidisciplinary groups to deliver code‑compliant, coordinated, constructible building systems.

Safety, quality, and sustainability are central, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to standardization. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days.

Qualifications

• HVAC and plumbing design experience.
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support HVAC and plumbing design activities for conventional power generation facilities.
• Develop and review design criteria, load calculations, ventilation, and equipment sizing.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, schedules, and calculations.
• Coordinate deliverables with process, civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and piping teams.
• Review for quality, code compliance, constructability, and coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and support standards development.
