Job summary

Insight Global in Fremont, CA seeks a skilled 3D As-Built Modeling Engineer to create and maintain data-rich Revit models of HVAC, plumbing, and piping in high-tech facilities. You will convert laser scans and point clouds into accurate Revit models, set up BIM standards and templates, and collaborate with multi-discipline leads to deliver model completion and hand-over.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of hands-on Revit MEP, strong scripting in C#, Dynamo, or Python, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years hands-on 3D modeling experience producing as-built mechanical and piping in Revit.
• Expertise in Revit MEP and as-built documentation for HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Experience with point-cloud/scan-to-BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and maintain data-rich 3D as-built BIM models of mechanical and piping systems in Autodesk Revit.
• Convert laser scans, point clouds, photogrammetry, and field measurements into detailed 3D Revit models of existing facilities.
• Set the course for 3D as-built digital delivery on large, fast-paced projects with multi-discipline leads.
• Develop and enforce 3D as-built BIM standards, templates, and execution plans focused on MEP modeling.
• Manage Common Data Environments (CDE) and coordinate 3D models with other disciplines.
