Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an Assembly C in Amityville, NY to perform mechanical assembly and soldering on electro-mechanical sub-assemblies. You will operate production equipment, apply adhesives, and ensure conformance to quality standards.

A high school diploma with experience or an associates degree is required, with J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred. The role offers stability in a defense tech environment with comprehensive benefits, and salary transparency showing a range for New York.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associates with 2+ years related experience.
• J-STD-001 soldering certification preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
• Mechanically inclined and able to wire, solder and assemble components.

Responsibilities

• Operate various manufacturing equipment with proper training.
• Solder wires, terminals and PCB components IAW IPC standards.
• Inspect components and subassemblies for defects during assembly.
• Maintain assembly and quality records and paperwork.
• Communicate statuses and issues to the Assembly Manager.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environment.
