Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, located in North Amityville, NY, is seeking an Assembly B to perform a broad range of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks. You will read drawings, set up equipment, solder, wire, and harness components, while following blueprints and specifications.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent with several years of related experience, or an associate degree with some experience.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

Assemble various mechanical devices using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and or schematics.
Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.
Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.
Ensure that all shop instruments used are within calibration due dates.
Fabricate shop aids and fixtures, as required.
Set-up and operate various pieces of shop equipment as required to accomplish assembly tasks.
Mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure shelf-life integrity.
Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement.
Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
