Job summary

Automation Personnel Services in Metairie, LA is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble components, read blueprints, and ensure quality. The role runs Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 3:30pm, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in mechanical assembly. Must be able to read calipers and micrometers, interpret drawings, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and production reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school or vocational training in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or related field.
• Experience with conveyor systems, industrial equipment, or manufacturing assembly.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
