Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in the New Orleans area. The role focuses on keeping production equipment and facility machinery operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support overall plant productivity.

The candidate should have at least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience, familiarity with electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience required.
• Experience in automotive, agricultural, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring schematics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical, trade school, or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and components safely.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience maintaining CNC equipment, lasers, press brakes, or similar manufacturing machinery.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair and maintain CNC machines, lasers, press brakes, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors regarding repairs and technical support.
• Dismantle machinery using hand tools, hoists, and other equipment to repair or replace defective components.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with facility maintenance projects and equipment installations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Maintenance Technician

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in the New Orleans area. This position is responsible for ensuring production equipment and facility machinery operate safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime and supporting overall plant productivity.

Pay Rate

$20 PER HOUR

Schedule

Monday through Friday

• 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machinery.
