Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location: Amesbury, MA
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Amesbury, MA. This position is responsible for assembling conveyors, automated machinery, and related equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyors, automated equipment, and mechanical components according to specifications and drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly instructions, and work orders.
• Organize tasks and materials to support efficient project completion.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Measure accurately using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow company quality and safety standards at all times.
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with optional overtime opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, equipment assembly, automotive repair, or a related field.
• Experience with conveyor systems or custom machinery is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to occasionally climb ladders and work in varying positions.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $32.00 per hour
