Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Germantown, WI. The role involves setting up winding machinery, assembling units with hand and power tools, and loading spools of wire and coils.

You will test units to ensure they meet electrical and mechanical specifications, weld and solder copper and steel, and document production data. The position requires the ability to read three-way dimensional drawings and work orders in English, perform basic math, and enter data via computer

Qualifications

• Two years of steady work experience preferred.
• Able to read 3-way dimensional drawings, blueprints and work orders in English.
• Proficient in copper and steel welding and hand soldering.
• Able to perform basic math and data entry.
• Able to read tape measurements accurately.
• Enter production data via computer keyboard.

Responsibilities

• Set up winding machinery for operation.
• Assemble units using hand and power tools.
• Load and change spools of wire and coils.
• Test assembled units to meet electrical and mechanical specs.
• Weld and solder copper and steel; hand solder to terminals.
• Assemble core legs and label products.
• Enter production data into computer system.
