Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a company in Milwaukee, WI. You will assemble mechanical systems and components per drawings, integrate parts, and perform quality checks to ensure proper fit and function.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred vocational training. Proficiency with hand/power tools, measuring instruments, and PPE is expected. First shift: 7am-3:30pm; associate-to-hire opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical assembly or related fields is preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanical assembler or in a similar role within manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or railway industries.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical systems and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Integrate mechanical components into complete systems, ensuring proper fit, function, and alignment.
• Conduct inspections and perform quality checks on assembled parts and systems to verify compliance with standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and precision instruments to assemble and adjust components.
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues during assembly and suggest process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and other workers to meet production goals.
