Eaton Group in La Vergne, TN is seeking a Mechanical Assembler responsible for panelboards and switchboards assembly according to electrical drawings and work instructions. The position pays $25 per hour and offers a variable incentive program, with hours 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

You will inspect, test, and wire components using hand and power tools, maintain quality, and participate in Lean 5S practices while cross-training across functions to support production needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in an assembly role with hand/power tools or completion of a one-year technical school diploma.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the work location; relocation not offered.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT etc.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and/or switchboards per customer specs using drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and conformance to specs.
• Wire panelboards/switchboards using hand/power tools and ensure proper wiring.
• Maintain progress, identify shortages, and communicate issues.
• Prepare finished products for shipment and receive/store materials.
• Suggest Lean/5S improvements to safety and efficiency.
• Cross-train across functions to meet production needs.
